Follow your intuition!

Famous actor, Alan Alda wrote: “You have to leave the city of your comfort and go into the wilderness of your intuition. What you discover will be wonderful. What you'll discover is yourself.” I personally have found self-doubt to be one of the greatest obstacles I've ever encountered both as a woman and an entrepreneur. Overcoming self-doubt is a daily exercise that I feel can only be accomplished by facing your fears. When you're feeling uncomfortable, that is when your most significant growth happens. You need to listen to the voice of your intuition telling you what the right thing is for you. I know how hard it is to really believe what you are feeling with so many external factors fostering self-doubt. But you know…you just have to trust yourself. I am as guilty as the next person for not following my intuition. Every single time I go against what I feel inside, I immediately feel sick over it - my stomach hurts and I feel entirely thrown off. You know exactly the feeling I'm talking about, it doesn't feel great! Until whatever the decision is I made is resolved, nothing feels right. Here are a few tricks on how to listen your intuition when you don't know what to do: 1) Step away from the situation and allow yourself some breathing room 2) Be honest with yourself and don't push your feelings out of the way 3) Turn to a journal or write down what's on your mind to really tune into your thoughts and to force yourself to be honest Your intuition is very powerful, but it often needs a quiet, calm and reflective environment for you to get the best answer. Never apologize for trusting your intuition. Your brain may have another idea, your heart may have another path, but your gut is always right. (Quoted by unknown) Until next time…

think it . dream it . do it
